With all of the extended travels and illnesses that I have experienced in recent weeks which completely explains the lack of regular postings on this site, I finally had a chance to return to my home base for about forty two hours beginning on Friday night and was able to initiate the process of getting caught up on a ton of things including the management of this site which has been lacking big time as of late.  Before I was able to begin this process however, I managed to stumble into a baseball special that was being aired by the local Fox Sports Network which featured the top ten games that had been played here at Safeco Field in Seattle.  However and before you jump in my face and ask me just where in the you know what I am going here, I assure you that I will find a home for this theme much sooner than later as you know I will.  Simply put and as I was watching parts of this baseball feature story, my attention was immediately captured when the Seattle Mariner’s first game back following the stoppage of this sport following the terrorists attacks on September 11, 2001 was identified as one of the top three games in the relatively short history of this facility when in reality it should have been the top one without any question at all.

As I viewed this five minute clip of the tribute that the Seattle Mariners baseball team gave to their fans after the game on the field and in particular to the victims of the atrocities that had occurred against out great nation only one week before, I saw a unified purpose and resolve in all of the thousands of fans in attendance that night along with the expressions of emotions and prayers from all of the Mariner players with heavy hearts that were interviewed on the field on this particular evening.  While this tribute by the Mariner players and fans during this particular evening did not rival the emotion and impact of the Yankees’ and Mets’ first game back on the other side of our country, the reality is that it was never intended to and this was not the purpose of this tribute anyway.

However and as impressed and inspired by everything that I witnessed on this very brief video clip that highlighted baseballs return to play after the its self imposed one week suspension of play following the terrorists attacks on September 11, 2001 I was equally disgusted and angered by everything that has taken place in the six and a half years that have passed since this critical time in our nation’s history when all of us were united in resolve, patriotism and purpose in the name of moving forward and living our lives in freedom while at the same time prosecuting this War on Terrorism and going after this evil enemy that had declared war on us and slaughtered so many of our fellow citizens in the process.  While Real Americans throughout the world have continued to this day with their  displays of patriotism including the common themes of ” United We Stand ” and ” Never Forget ” as we continue to go forward with our tremendous successes in this War on Terrorism, many others have chosen instead to show the entire world that they are nothing more than a bunch of self serving opportunits and traitors with yellow stripes on their backs  who are more concerned about themselves in the form of ” I ” and not ” We ” when it comes to protecting the United States of America from additional attacks from our enemies of this world who want to see all of us dead pure and simple.  Call it political opportunity, arrogance, ignorance or anything you want but the fact of the matter is that all of us are continuing to see illustrations of sedition and treason on a daily basis that we never would have even imagined in the days following the attacks on September 11, 2001.  Of course I have commented on these collaborators on numerous occasions in recent months and will certainly be doing so again in the months ahead and especially as we get closer to the Presidential Election in November for which you had better believe the entire world will be watching.

For now though and in accordance with my Easter theme of adjusting your attitude and sense of purpose of direction in life, I will not be addressing my message to the collaborators in our country as they all belong in hell and should have been flushed down the sewer a long time ago.  More on them later in the weeks ahead I promise you.  I am also not going to address this message to the thousands upon thousands of Real Americans throughout the world who are serving our country with pride and vigilance on a twenty four seven basis as their commitment to the themes of ” United We Stand ” and ” Never Forget ” has not waivered one single bit since 9-11 and it never will.  The people that I am directing this Easter message to are the hundreds of thousands of Americans who were presented with a very rude awakening on September 11, 2001 but have fallen back to sleep in the name of complacency every since.  Just like the common messages that are being preached throughout this very special day that honors the resurrection of Christ, I am also calling upon my fellow Americans who have remained on the sidelines since 9-11 to basically get back in the game just like baseball did after September 11, 2001 and pray for the victims of terrorism, support all of our military and law enforcement professionals and fellow citizens who are taking the fight to the enemy and above all else, join the team of vigilant Americans everywhere who are doing everything they possibly can in order to ensure our freedoms and protect our great nation on a twenty four seven basis.   Therefore and just as you reaffirmed your commitment to Christ in church this morning, I am encouraging all of you to reinforce your patriotism and love for the United States of America by simply supporting those who support us in any way you can and together we will return to the sense of unity and pride that all of us shared in the weeks that followed the terrorists attacks on September 11, 2001 while at the same time ensuring the safety and freedoms of our great nation for many years to come.

In closing, I would like to say HAPPY EASTER to everyone so enjoy this very special day with your family members while at the same time giving your undivided thoughts and prayers to the thousands of our fellow citizens who are either serving our country in a remote location or distant post throughout the world or have to work a rotating shift later today when they would rather be spending the entire day at home with their families completely.  As a final Easter treat, I am going to provide you with a video link that will bring this particular post to a complete circle and reinforce the importance of basically ” getting back in the game “ along the themes of ” United We Stand ” and ” Never Forget. “

This specific image in the middle of the ruins of the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001 not only has a tremendous amount of significance on Easter Sunday but it also reinforces the critically important themes of ” United We Stand ” and ” Never Forget. “
